About the Sacramento Aloha Festival

The Sacramento Aloha Festival (SAF) was founded in 2010 by Auntie Mona Foster and Hui O Hawaii of Sacramento, Inc.  They launched the first Sacramento Aloha Festival at Cal Expo On October 22, 2011.  In 2013 the Ka`ōnohi Foundation was established to continue this legacy and the future of the Sacramento Aloha Festival.  Our mission is to embody and perpetuate the culture of the Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders (NHOPI) for present and future generations.

SAF promotes an understanding and appreciation of NHOPI through:

  • Cultural arts
  • History
  • Dance
  • Music and, of course
  • Food

It is a family / community event for all members of our community.  In addition to the great food, entertainment, shopping, resources, and cultural workshops, we offer a special “Keiki Korner” for children of all ages, with crafts, costumes, games, and more. SAF is the hub that connects Polynesia to the continent.

Our vision is to raise enough monies for a NHOPI Cultural Center in Sacramento.

If you would like to be a part of SAF, please contact us to be a Volunteer, Food Vendor,  Merchandise Vendor, Sponsor, Entertainer, Cultural or Community exhibitor.
